ABOUT ABOUT

Cody Clark has a different way of thinking. And, it’s safe to say, a different way of seeing the world. Whether it’s finding the magic in an everyday moment, or creating an everyday moment in his magic, the magician’s art is never far from his mind. But it isn’t the only thing. Cody discovered his love for magic at age 11, 9 years and 9 months after his parents discovered he had autism. Through stage magic and story, sleight of hand and journey of mind, Cody will show you the world through his eyes. Maybe you’ll find that his way of thinking isn’t all too different from yours.

After being on the road for all of the summer and fall touring this show at five fringe festivals and in New York City, Cody returns back home to present this show again for his hometown supporters. In his show, which debuted at the last Slant Culture Theater Festival, Cody uses the arts of magic, theatre, and storytelling to give a first-person account of living with autism. He seeks to both change people's ideas about autism and to give those affected by it a story they can call their own. During his recent tour, Cody's show was ranked in the Indianapolis Star's Top 10 2016 IndyFringe shows and singled out in the Chicago Tribune's article about the Elgin Fringe. Most recently, he was profiled in a three-page article in the October issue of Genii magazine, the magazine for conjurers.

After the show, Cody will be donating his signed poster sales to FEAT of Louisville, a local autism organization.
