Archie and Eudora are performance artists. They have a daughter. Mary and Joe are not performance artists (although Joe harbors some fantasies). They have a son. When the disapproving Mary and Joe arrive to discuss their disapproval of the relationship between the respective son and daughter, all hell breaks lose.
All social order breaks down and the honest and honorable life takes a backseat to a frenzied, panicked mayhem.
