Finally, the 24-Fest is back at the Bard!
The concept is simple--and daunting. Friday, April 13, at 6:30 PM, all artists who signed up to participate will be given their 24-Fest teams, with each team consisting of one playwright, one director, and at least two actors. Stagehands and Board Operators will manage ALL fest shows. Each team will also be given the title for their play, the genre of the play, a line of dialogue that must be used, and a prop that must be incorporated. The teams typically meet briefly, and then head out.
From roughly 8 PM Friday to 8 AM Saturday, the playwrights go to work in isolation. Saturday morning, Schutte prints the new plays for each group, and rehearsals begin. 7:30 PM Saturday, these new 10-minute plays meet the world.
